I (Robert) recently completed training on the use of a new tool kit EWMI is implementing for helping missions mobilized churches better accomplish their goals in reaching the nations, both in their own communities and around the world.

If you follow us on social media, then you probably already have a better knowledge than most who may only read our periodic emails or peruse our website occasionally, about my (Robert’s) medical journey of the past couple years.

Fruit-bearing fruit is the best kind. In fact, fruit that doesn’t bear fruit maybe shouldn’t be classified as fruit at all. In the passage on The Vine from John 15, excerpted above, Jesus said, “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”

The ministry team in Voronezh just pulled off another amazing camp for 60 orphans from 4 orphanages in the region. Obviously the theme was built around C.S. Lewis' Narnia. Camp started right after the new year and ended the day after Christmas.

The title of this article could have just as easily been the subtitle for the story in our Summer 2011 newsletter, "Disciple-Making: Alex's Story", and essentially this article is simply a continuation of that story.

The longer we do this job, the more we realize how crucial it is that the Gospel, specifically the Cross of Christ, be the center-point in all we do and the single motivating force behind all of it.

Our ministry team is much more than a group of people serving the needs of orphans, it's also a laboratory for leadership development. And in this laboratory are now serving many of the kids from the orphanage who at one time were being ministered to, and have now grown to become the ministers.
